Mr. Diggs’ Christmas Tree Decorating Tips

  • Choose your color theme (example: silver & white), and purchase basic bulbs in two different sizes to fill in the tree.
  • When placing ornaments on your tree, decorate with three, six, or twelve to help create a nice visual balance.
  • Sprays and picks always help fill in bald spots and give your tree more color and/or sparkle.
  • Don’t forget to wrap your presents using the same ribbon that’s in your tree!
  • The most important thing is to have a good time!
  1. First put your ribbon and/or garland on the tree, weaving it in and out and around your tree to create a little extra interest.
  2. Scatter sprays throughout your tree, starting from the top and working your way down, and around the tree.
  3. Add in your two sizes of basic bulbs. Set some further back into the tree for a little extra dimension to your tree.
  4. Now it’s time to place your most precious ornaments in the most highly visible places.
  5. Fill in any bald spots with funky pieces such as, snowballs, cute woodland creatures, ice skates, sleds, etc.
  6. Don’t forget to top your tree off with something that has a “wow-factor” to it such as glitzy or lighted branches, a sled, Santa Claus, a beautiful bow, etc.
  7. Step back and admire your masterpiece.
